Memorable Tourism
Travel planning should feel like the beginning of a journey.
Role
- Product Thinking
- UX/UI
- Website Development
- Rule-Based AI Integration
Overview
Memorable Tourism is a travel business focused on helping people discover and plan meaningful journeys. The website needed to do more than display destinations. It needed to make travel discovery enjoyable, make different types of holidays understandable, and help visitors move from inspiration to a useful enquiry.
For me, the interesting part was connecting storytelling with functionality. I wanted the experience to feel exciting enough to explore, but structured enough to help someone actually plan a trip.
Challenge
Travel websites can quickly become overwhelming: endless destinations, packages, forms, and competing calls to action. The challenge was to create an experience that supported discovery without losing sight of the business goal.
The website also had to make room for both domestic and international travel, curated experiences, and planning assistance without presenting everything as a generic booking catalogue.
My approach
I approached the website as a connected journey rather than a set of independent pages.
The first step was defining how users discover destinations, understand the available experiences, express their preferences, and eventually connect with the travel team.
From there, the work involved structuring the website’s information architecture, developing the visual experience, and integrating rule-based intelligent planning functionality.
What I worked on
- Product and customer-journey planning.
- Website information architecture and navigation.
- UX/UI direction and responsive experience design.
- Destination discovery and content presentation.
- Rule-based travel-planning functionality.
- Website development and implementation.
- Enquiry-oriented journeys connecting discovery with the business.
The experience
The design direction puts destinations and experiences at the centre. Large destination imagery, considered typography, travel-inspired details, and clear paths through the content help visitors picture the experience before committing to an enquiry.
The planning layer adds practical value. Rather than presenting it as an unrestricted AI agent, the system uses rule-based logic to guide relevant recommendations and planning paths.
Outcome
The result is a travel-focused digital experience that combines destination storytelling, structured discovery, and guided planning.
It gives Memorable Tourism a more cohesive way to present what it offers and makes the journey from browsing to enquiry more intentional.
What this taught me
A useful digital experience doesn’t need to place technology at the centre of attention. Sometimes the better use of intelligence is to simplify choices and allow the experience itself to lead.
