Overview

LiteArt is a Pune-based architectural lighting business serving residential, commercial, and professional requirements.

Lighting is a visual product. Its value becomes easier to understand when someone sees what it does to a space, rather than reading technical specifications alone. That became the central idea behind the redesign.

Challenge

The existing website needed a stronger premium identity and a more engaging way to explore lighting products.

The challenge was balancing two distinct requirements: making the website feel atmospheric and high-end while allowing visitors to browse products and enquire without confusion.

LiteArt also serves both individual buyers and professional audiences, so the experience needed to remain useful rather than becoming a purely artistic showcase.

My approach

I moved away from conventional product-grid-first thinking and explored a website shaped around light, material, and architectural space.

The experience uses warm visual environments, intentional contrast, product-focused storytelling, and moments of interaction to communicate what the brand represents.

Product discovery and enquiries were treated as essential parts of the design rather than secondary features.

What I worked on

  1. Redesign strategy and website structure.
  2. Immersive visual direction for architectural lighting.
  3. Product and application categorisation.
  4. Product detail and enquiry journeys.
  5. Responsive interface design.
  6. Animation and interaction direction.
  7. Website implementation and review iteration.
  8. Planning for a future client-managed product catalogue.

Product decisions

No public pricing
The website focuses on products, specifications, applications, and enquiries rather than displaying fixed prices.
WhatsApp enquiries
A persistent bottom-right WhatsApp entry point helps visitors enquire about relevant products.
Visual context
Residential, architectural, landscape, commercial, and other application imagery helps buyers understand how different lighting solutions behave in real spaces.
Client control (planned)
The longer-term direction is a custom product-management panel using Supabase with a Vercel-hosted website. This is a planned capability, not a completed feature.

The experience

The website should feel like moving through a carefully illuminated space.

Subtle reveals, changes in visual intensity, controlled transitions, and atmospheric imagery create immersion without making browsing difficult.

The product catalogue remains understandable, the enquiry journey stays visible, and responsive layouts preserve the experience on mobile.

Where it stands

The website redesign is available in a work-in-progress review environment, with the major immersive and enquiry-focused direction developed.

It establishes a stronger visual foundation for LiteArt’s digital presence while allowing the catalogue and backend functionality to evolve.

What this taught me

Visual immersion works best when it improves how someone understands a product. With lighting, the strongest way to communicate value is often to demonstrate the effect, not just the fixture.
